It is the goal for the California Community Action Partnership Association (CalCAPA) to continually seek to improve its Training and Technical Assistance Efforts to local Agencies and we want to be able to track your requests as well as the follow up to make sure those requests were responded to in a timely way.
Peer to Peer Trainings
Peer to Peer training is utilized when a peer requesting assistance is matched with an expert peer to deliver training on a specific topic area. Examples of peer to peer trainings include financial management, human resources, community development and board administration. These trainings are designed to utilize the CSBG peer network to improve innovation and creativity.
Tripartite Board Trainings
CalCAPA is pleased to offer with tripartite Board trainings to CSBG eligible entities and cover the following topics: history, philosophy and current challenges of Community Action and the roles, rights and responsibilities of the tripartite Board.
Do you have a specific need or challenge that would benefit from training provided by an expert consultant? CalCAPA can arrange for a consultant to come to your agency and provide training (or a series of trainings/meetings) – examples of topics that can be provided include sustainability planning, executive director recruitment & retention and fiscal systems consulting.
