Calveras-Mariposa CAA Executive Director

Under direction from the Calaveras Mariposa Community Action Agency (CMCAA) Community Action Board (Board) and the Calaveras County Health and Human Services Agency Director or designee, the Executive Director plans, organizes, and directs all aspects of the Community Action Agency, Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) and other like assigned programs.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for providing a full range of management level support to the Board. The Executive Director shall develop, organize, coordinate, and manage all fiscal and grant requirements, sub-contractor compliance, operations, and staffing aspects of the programs assigned.

Requirements

Equivalent to the completion of twelfth (12th) grade and:

Either one or more of the following:

  • Possession of a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with one year of professional journey level experience administering health and/or human service programs.

  • Possession of a degree from a four-year college or university with two years of professional journey level experience administering health and/or human service programs.

  • Possession of an Associate degree from an accredited college with four or more years of professional journey level experience administering health and/or human service programs.

  • Seven or more years of professional journey level experience administering health and/or human service programs, with a minimum of two of those years being in a supervisory/management capacity.

Part-Time Business Trainer

We are looking for an excellent Trainer to help members cultivate their skills and knowledge. You will provide complete training to share your expertise in ways that motivate others.

 Your abilities to convey a message should only be surpassed by a deep knowledge of our field. Organizational skills and a positive attitude are important qualities that you have to possess.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions
  • Design effective training programs 
  • Select and book venues
  • Conduct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions etc.
  • Prepare educational material such as module summaries, videos etc.
  • Keep attendance and other records
  • Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement
  • Monitor performance and response to training

Requirements

  • Proven experience as business trainer
  • Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
  • Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in corporate teaching
  • Proficient in MS Office (esp. Powerpoint); e-learning software is an asset)
  • Phenomenal communication, presentation and public speaking skills
  • Organizational and time management abilities
  • Critical thinking and decision making
