representation

CalCAPA aims to be a powerful catalyst for change through consist advocacy and action around complex poverty issues. With the diminishing funding of human services, advancing the interests of the impoverished communities our members serve is vital. CalCAPA provides a voice through mobilization and alliance-building in order to improve the laws, policies, and systems that impact and change structural inequalities.

outreach

CalCAPA builds understanding and awareness through issue-framing, messaging and outreach efforts in order to push forward the conversation on poverty. As a key element of CalCAPA’s work, we engage the public in dialogue through multiple media platforms, action-oriented campaigns, speaking engagements and our many partnerships with affinity groups, industry trade associations, business and political leaders and other like-minded organizations.
